Disaster Recovery – Volunteers Helping People in Need
Helping to rebuild homes is a major mission project at Immanuel United Methodist church. Since 2007 Immanuel has supported 27 home rebuilding projects in areas struck by natural disasters.
About our Teams
Volunteer teams are made up of general contractors, very skilled home owners and those who have never raised a hammer. The team members participate in hands-on projects where they perform rebuilding tasks under the guidance of skilled and experienced team members and local relief organizations.
Our teams work in coordination with larger disaster recovery efforts. The assignments are varied and typically involve work on a re-construction project or follow-up on work done by a preceding team.
