Confirmation
The Rite of Confirmation is typically celebrated every 2 years here at Immanuel.
The event involves a group of our young people receiving additional instructions allowing them to fully accept the membership vows made for them at the time of their baptism.
Our confirmands not only complete class work, they also complete a mission project of their choosing with their Confirmation Mentor.
Confirmands make a public profession of their faith and receive a "laying on of hands" from the pastor. The congregation welcomes these young people into full membership with all the privileges and responsibilities that membership carries!

Confirmation Class of 2022
We have 4 young people preparing to be confirmed on June 5, 2022 during our Pentecost Worship service. Please pray for Joey, Adie, Madelyn and Sammi as they prepare to become full members of Immanuel.
On Sunday, May 1, our confirmation class participated in a ceremonial foot washing.

Confirmation Class of 2019
On Sunday, May 19th, six of our youth were confirmed in faith and were welcomed into our congregation as unique children of God. Congratulations to all and thank you to Carol, Pastor Jack, Pastor Pam, Pastor Russ, the parents, mentors and all those who supported our children.

Confirmation Class of 2017
On Sunday, May 21st, seven of our youth said "YES" to Jesus as they were confirmed into the faith. These seven youth have been learning all about John Wesley and the Methodist tradition, the history of their home church and of course, the teachings of Jesus. They worshiped at the Beth Sholom Chevra Shas Synagogue with Rabbi Pepperstone, went to mass at St. Joseph's Church with Father Peter. We had a "sleepless" overnight at church, served a meal at the Samaritan Center. We visited the Bush Funeral Home and filled flood buckets for UMCOR Disaster Relief. But this does not mark the end of their journey; it is just the beginning. We can't wait to see how these young people share the gifts and graces that God has given them with their church family and their community in the years to come.
