Dear Friends of the Interreligious Food Consortium (IFC),
We are excited to announce that WE WILL be having the Empty Bowls event this fall, Friday September 24th, 2021. Empty Bowls, EB, is a national program that helps small nonprofits raise valuable money to accomplish their goals. We have been holding this event for the past 17 years and it has helped us feed those in need in Onondaga County. The first annual CNY Senior Fair at Onondaga Lake Park is on September 22 from 11am to 1pm. Please help spread the word.
We had a meal together, followed by a Bible story, crafts, music and games. Fun was had by all! Catch our Kidz Club program during our 10am worship service beginning September 12. (Click on images below to view full-size.) Week 2: Who doesn't love a campfire and s'mores? Week 3: Our Bible lesson was the Good Samaritan. We made blankets for The Linus Project which gives warm blankets to local kids in need. Week 4:
It was hot so we had fun cooling off! Our Bible lesson was Jesus healing the 10 lepers and we talked about being thankful to God for all of the great gifts God has given us. Our Kidz Club Wednesdays kicked off last night with a lot of fun by all! Please enjoy this video of the kids singing and playing handbells.
Pastor Jack and Becky's team, Becky's Blessings, had a beautiful day for their 20.6 mile ride for Ride for Roswell on Saturday, July 31. The team raised over $9,300!! Many thanks to all who participated! Pastor Jack and Becky will be travelling to Buffalo this Saturday to walk in the Heroes parade representing ovarian cancer before the Ride for Roswell there. |
