Just a few glimpses of the creativity and energy that filled our VBS days as we near the end of another great year.
On Sunday, June 7, we joyfully welcomed five young people into membership through confirmation. Each student was paired with a mentor who walked alongside them throughout their confirmation journey. As part of their preparation, every confirmand and mentor team completed a mission outreach project that reflected service, compassion, and faith in action. Kaylee B. and Carly K. with mentor Jeff G. held a can and bottle drive to benefit Rescue Love, an animal rescue center in Liverpool.
Yvonne O. with mentor Lorlie W. dedicated their project to cleaning up roadside trash along Beef Street, caring for our local environment.  Collecting roadside trash Kayla S. and mentor Shelley D.S. visited St. Camillus Health and Rehabilitation Center on four occasions. Kayla shared her musical gifts on the violin, they visited residents individually, and they assisted with Bingo for a group of residents.
Brayden S. with mentor Steve F. built wooden shelving units for Devin's Rec Rooms, a program supporting individuals in recovery from addiction.

Food and beverages will be discounted (Dollar Thursday). Like last year, we will have 200-level assigned seats. We will gather at 6.15 pm at Home Plate to sing the national anthem.

Gordon Williams Scholarship Information
HISTORY: The Gordon Williams Scholarship, named in the memory of a former pastor of Immanuel United Methodist Church, provides aid for undergraduate higher education.
CRITERIA: Applicant must be a graduating high school senior or a matriculated undergraduate who plans to continue his/her education and a member of Immanuel United Methodist Church. Previous winners are not eligible.
GUIDELINES: Use one copy as a rough draft. Have it reviewed by a parent or teacher. Be sure to complete both Part I and Part II. CHECK SPELLING. Then complete the second copy, printed in ink. Do not add any supplemental sheets. A short personal interview may be scheduled with the selection committee.
APPLICATION DUE DATE: Return completed application to: Immanuel United Methodist Church c/o Jerry Holbrook, 303 Kasson Road, Camillus, NY 13031 by June 1, 2026. Applications received after that date will not be considered. Winner is to be announced in June.

A Gathering for Reflection and Stillness
Are you concerned about the growing tension around the world, our country, our communities, or even the growing tension within yourself?
You are invited to join us for a time of communal prayer and quiet reflection as we raise our voices together. We will gather to seek peace through the reading of the Psalms, the lighting of candles, and reflective meditation.
When: Tuesday, May 19th
Time: 6:30 PM (Approximately 30 minutes)
Where: The Fireside Room
What to bring: Nothing but yourself and an open heart.

Our April Second Sunday Lunch on April 12, 2026 was graced with cheerful daffodils — a bright reminder that Spring is really here!
Smiling faces filled the room as we shared food, fellowship, and the joy of being together as a church family.
We extend heartfelt thanks to Sam Paventi for preparing the meal, to our Fellowship Committee and volunteers for setting up, serving, and cleaning up, and to Jane Monell and Jan Robinson for the beautiful daffodils that brought such warmth to the day.

Please follow these guidelines:
Item Pickups
If you have items to be picked up and brought to the church, we will be glad to help you. However, we would prefer to schedule these pickups on Tuesday, April 28 as this is when the Tuesday morning gentlemen are at your service. Please call Shelley Dawson Smith at 315-727-0671 before April 21 to schedule your pick up.
Garage Sale Setup Volunteers
Help is needed on Sunday, April 26th at 11:00am moving items that have been stored in the garage sale room to the fellowship hall. The members of Immanuel have been very busy cleaning out their closets this past year and these donations have caused the garage sale room to burst at the seams! Any help, even for an hour, would be greatly appreciated. Sign-up sheet will be in the Narthex or just show up.

Please follow these guidelines:
- When you bring in your items, please place them in the designated area(s) if you are able.
- Items should not be dropped off on Wednesday, April 29.
- Electronics of ANY kind (e.g, computers, TVs, air conditioners) are not accepted.
- Exercise bikes, weight benches, Christmas trees, and skis are also not accepted.
- Ensure that all items are clean and in working order.
- Please pre-hang clothing items such as coats, shirts, and dresses on hangers. If you don't have hangers, a supply will be available in the Narthex starting on April 19.
