Living Nativity On Saturday, December 14, 2024, members and friends of our congregation retold the story of Jesus' birth outside with young people portraying the people in the nativity scene, accompanied by live animals, songs, and candlelight. After the service, everyone was invited inside for hot cocoa and cookies. Despite the cold, everyone had a great time! Caroling at Brookdale Summerfield and Brookdale Bellevue On Sunday, December 15, members of Immanuel shared the joy of Christmas by singing Christmas carols and ringing bells with residents of Brookdale Summerfield and Brookdale Bellevue. So wonderful to see all the smiles on both the residents' and participants' faces. Join us on Saturday, December 14 at 6pm for the retelling of the Christmas story. There will be songs, live animals and hot cocoa! Dress for the weather and come hear the Good News!

They will be available after worship and on November 5 during the dinner. Find more information about the dinner here.

Immanuel UMC Bed Build On September 14, the Immanuel UMC parking lot transformed into a hive of energy and purpose as volunteers came together with one mission: to give children the comfort and security of their own beds. The goal was 40, but with hearts full of determination and hands hard at work, 62 beds were built! In partnership with the Syracuse Chapter of Sleep in Heavenly Peace (SHP), Immanuel UMC and community volunteers ensured that even more children across Central New York can now sleep soundly. On a sunny Saturday, September 14, 2024, Immanuel UMC hosted a bed build for Sleep in Heavenly Peace. We started out to build 40 beds but were able to complete 62 beds! That means that 62 children in Onondaga County will no longer have to sleep on the floor! Our younger volunteers made 7 no sew blankets to go with the beds. Many thanks to all of the persons who supported this endeavor! August 11th was the perfect sunny day for the 15th Annual Miniature Golf Tournament to support Disaster Recovery Missions. We were blessed with 17 hole sponsors and 71 participants. After a shot gun start at 9am, participants returned to the church for a delicious brunch and prizes. A great time was had by all and we were able to raise $2,383.12! Thank you to all who participated! |
